FINE ART AND FINE FRAMING
Thoughtful, museum-level framing for the art you live with — proudly crafted in Agoura Hills for over 30 years.
Generational Expertise
Framing has always been more than a service here — it’s a way of life. Alisa, a third- generation framer and lifelong advocate for the arts, has spent over 30 years helping people protect what matters most. From fine art to family mementos, each piece is treated with the same care and respect it deserves — because we know what it means to you.
Expert Craftsmanship, Thoughtful Design
We don’t just match colors and corners. We start with good questions — where will it hang? Will it be in direct sunlight, over a fireplace, or near the kitchen where the humidity changes? What do you want to feel when you see it — calm, pride, joy, connection? Then we build around those answers, using archival materials, museum- level techniques, and an eye for design. Great framing doesn’t draw attention to itself — it draws out the best in what it holds.
The Gallery Advantage
At The Frame Gallery, you don’t just work with a framer you collaborate with people who live and work in the world of art. Decades of experience in aesthetics, conservation, and curation inform every decision we make. We don’t carry every frame, we carry the right ones. Great framing isn’t just about what’s new or what’s next, it’s about how the wood is chosen, milled, and finished to hold up beautifully over time. Your framing isn’t just built to last, with the right materials, design, and craftsmanship, it’s built to belong.
A Frame’s Place in Everyday Life
The right frame gives form to what matters — placing it in your space, and in your story. It invites people to stop, to look closer, to remember. Whether it’s a gallery piece or something only you would love, we frame it to feel at home — not just on the wall, but in the rhythm of your everyday life.
Design / Working Together
Framing works best when we work together. Visit the gallery and design in person - or use our virtual framing tools to collaborate online. If you're local, we can even come to you.
Precision Cutting
Every great frame starts with a perfect cut. We use industrial-grade miter saws designed to handle hardwoods and specialty finishes cleanly - no chip-out, no rough edges. Because a frame built to last starts with how it's cut.
Joinery That Holds
The strength of a frame depends on how it's joined. We use a precision pneumatic V-nailer and a variety of fasteners to ensure tight, seamless corners - even on the toughest hardwoods. No splitting, no damage - just solid craftsmanship built to last.
Matting That Completes the Picture
A well-chosen mat brings your artwork and frame together - and helps protect what's inside. We offer a wide range of acid-free mats, from 100% cotton rag to textured and color options that add depth and dimension. Precision-cut on our CNC system, including multi-opening designs, for clean lines and perfect fit every time.
Archival Glazing
Good framing doesn't just display your art - it protects it. We use museum-quality non-glare glass and acrylic, both archival and designed to block harmful UV rays that cause fading and damage over time. Clear, beautiful, and built to last.
Where It All Comes Together
The best design and the finest materials only matter if they're brought together with care. Every piece we frame is assembled by hand, with attention to detail at every step - from cleaning the glazing to aligning the artwork, mat, and frame perfectly. This is where craftsmanship matters most - the final step that makes the difference between a frame that looks good and one that feels right.
The Last Step. The Right Step.
The right frame doesn't just hold your art, it honors it. It protects, preserves, and presents the things that matter most, with the care it deserves. Framing is not an afterthought. It's not decoration. It's the final step in giving your artwork its rightful place - to be seen, remembered, and lasting.
